Tom started out as a dj playing vinyl back in 2002. His style is known for a balanced mix between two main ingredients; minimal and techno. Nevertheless, he likes playing with many different subgenres.
In 2010, lots of interesting music wasn’t released on vinyl anymore. Looking for a solution, he got more into digital setups. After a short introduction with timecode vinyl he soon discovered the endless possibilities of self mapped/programmed setups. After seeing the likes of Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, playing with these complex systems, he knew he had to build one himself.
After years of testing and trying out many different devices and controllers he found his most recent system wrapped around a Model1. This mixer finally answered to some long searched features he had been looking for.
While on his journey, Tom developed a passion for music production as well. This resulted in passing auditions at the famous ‘Rockacademie’ in Holland. Where he graduated his Bachelors in Fine Arts for music production in 2016. During his graduation year he launched his imprint ‘miniMahlzeit’ and working ever since on his mission to promote minimal techno music in the Netherlands and beyond.
